Have some questions about your EMPEROR Automatic Soap & Sanitizer Dispenser?
Check out FAQ's & some great trouble shooting tricks below:
Why is the blue sensor light is not turning on?
- Check to see if your batteries are low or drained
- Check to see if your battery orientation is correct
- Check to see if there is any corrosion on battery contact points
- Make sure you are not using rechargeable batteries
Can’t locate the power button?
- The power button is located under the lid just above the soap compartment
Why is it when the sensor light is on, I can’t hear any sound from the motor/pump?
- If the blue light sensor appears and there is no sound, please contact: Umbra Customer Support: 1-800-387-5122
Why does my sensor lights up and I hear the motor/pump working, however, no soap is dispensed?
- Are you using the correct viscosity of soap/sanitizer
- Make sure you are not using soap containing beads
- Make sure you are not using foaming soap
- Clean any residue left on the spout nozzle.
- If you haven’t used your device in more than 2 days you need to re-prime the device. You will need to trigger the sensor and repeat: this will help push the thicker solution through the hose until the soap or sanitizer dispenses at the normal amount again.
- Once soap or sanitizer has been added – try lightly patting the bottom of the dispenser to help release any air from the liquid
- Pinch rubber nozzle to release any air bubbles and to ensure no residue build up is present
When I try and use a sponge or dish brush, no soap dispenses.
- Sensor works best with bright coloured scrubbies and brushes. You may also need to move your pump to a location that has less intense lighting which may be interfering with the sensor
Why is the sensor light is red?
- Your batteries are drained and need to be replaced.
- Check to see if there is any corrosion on battery contact points
The unit is dispensing on it’s own, without being prompted.
- There may be residue on the sensor - clean with a damp cloth and wipe clean
How do I adjust the volume settings
- Press and hold the power for 2 seconds to ensure the device is turned on. Then proceed to press the power button again and the blue light should blink twice. That indicates you are now the medium volume setting. If you want to further increase the volume press the power button again and you will see the blue light blink 3 times. This now indicates you on the highest volume setting. If you press yet again it will return back to the lowest setting indicated by one blue flashing light.
